No Weapon Formed!?

Everyone has heard the scripture "No weapon formed against me shall prosper". People use it all the time, but I'm starting to think people have the wrong idea of what it truly means. I read this answer to what the scripture means and I thought it was a good interpretation (keep in mind everyone reads scriptures differently) : "This means that as you are following God's will for your life and when you're keeping in a healthy relationship with Him as your Guide and Shepherd, then the weapons of many different varieties that the enemies to our faith (the world system, the fleshly human nature, and the evil one himself), may try to bring against us in warfare will be stopped by the power of God through prayer and the testimony of our lives lived before Him in truth." Now that you have an idea of what it means, here is what it does NOT mean. It does NOT mean the weapon will not form. The weapon will form, but it will not succeed. People seem to think that they are not suppose to go through something in this lifetime. You will go through things, a lot of things some hurtful, some harmful. The enemy WILL come after you, the weapons WILL form, but if you stay close to GOD and stand on his word, you will get through it. Hold your head high and keep fighting. Now! I will say this, GOD does not need your help when fighting your battles, so step aside. GOD has been doing this before you were born, he knows what he is doing. How can you expect GOD to help you when he has to move you out of the way to get to what you need him to help you with. Learn how to let go, you are NOT in control. Another thing I hear people say.. GOD knows my problems, so since he knows, I know he is going to fix it. Why do I have to pray about what he already knows? Yes, it is very true. GOD knows what you are going to face before you face it. However GOD wants us to invite him into our lives and our problems. Yes he will fix it, but tell him about it. HE wants that relationship with you. If you can pick up the phone and call your best friend and tell him or her what's going on in your life knowing that person can't help you. Can't do anything, but listen to you vent. Why not go to GOD the same way and tell him what's on your mind, what's on your heart, not only will he listen but he will also move in your direction, fix it for you and turn that situation around for your good. Yes, he will fix it, but he also wants you to come to him. It's ok to tell GOD how you feel, then ask Jesus to heal you. Have you ever tried to fix something on your own and realized you made it worse, then finally take it to GOD and it gets fixed? That should be proof alone that you CAN'T do it by yourself. Here is the thing, HE will actually let you try to do it by yourself JUST to show you that you NEED HIM! Knock out the middle man (yourself) and go straight to him. I promise your needs will be met. Realize that the bad will happen, but you will overcome it. Stay close to HIM, read the word, stand on his word, and build that relationship we ALL so desperately need.
