Live & Act As If You Already Have! (To be honest, I'm preaching to myself on this one.) When we pray, we have to pray with confidence. Believe in what you are praying for and believe that you will receive what you are praying for. God is not a God of confusion, so you also must be clear. Yes, God knows your needs already, but he wants you to come to him for the things you need. Ask and you shall receive. When you ask, believe you will receive, place it in Gods hands, and leave it there. There are times where we are not even sure, what we even want or need. That's when you pray for clarity. You can pray and ask God to send you clarity, and he will. Once you pray for it, act as if you already have it. If you are praying for a new car, treat the car you have as if it is that brand new car. Same for your home, keep it clean. Want that promotion, dress for it. Want a Job, stop sleeping in, wake up get dressed and act as if you have somewhere to go. Want a better job, show up to your current one on time, and enjoy it, love it. Do more than what is expected of you. Show God that you can take care of what you are asking him to trust you with. Well what if I don't have a car, or a home of my own, how can I act as if I already have it? Who are you living with? Do you help them keep their home clean? Are you packed and ready to go yet? How do you expect God to bless you with a home and you aren't ready to go? You need to pack, and you need to be ready. When God moves, he moves, and you need to BE READY! You don't have a car ok? Walk to your window everyday, look out and say out loud, "Tomorrow I will look out and see my car" ... "Lord please equip me with the financials I need to buy a car" ... "Lord you know I need a vehicle, so I ask that you will provide me with a car that you know is right for me, Amen" If you know the car you want, that's even better. Pray on it, and leave it be. Another thing! Worrying CANCELS Prayers.....Period. God did NOT give us a spirit of Worry, Fear and Confusion. Nope, that's not HIM. Sorry, but not sorry. Pray for clarity, guidance, wisdom and peace. Also remember, we have to go through something in order to get something. What you are going through is God STRETCHING you to be what HE needs you to be. (Think of yourself as a rubber band, in order for that rubber band to shoot across the room, you have to STRETCH it.) Allow God to stretch you, yes its uncomfortable but its all so worth it. We also have to learn to come to God, and just simply be quiet and let HIM speak. Ask HIM what HE wants you to do, what HE wants from you, what HE needs you to do. A prayer is a conversation with the Lord, don't let it be a one sided conversation. Sometimes you need to stop talking and listen, you can't get those answers if you don't allow him to talk to you. You think he's not listening because you don't hear him. Keep still, BE STILL. You're upset because you are not receiving what you ask for, maybe he's telling you "Hold on, I have better". One more thing....Are you praying small? Take the limits off of GOD. Nothing is impossible when it comes to HIM. Pray big. Until next time...I love you all.
