Friends with hidden Agendas!

We all have them! Unfortunately. I, and I'm sure a lot of other people, can not stand when someone has a hidden agenda. People that call or text you "just to say hey" knowing they really want something. Either they want you to take them somewhere or need something from you, but they don't want you to think that's the only reason they called when it really is the only reason. Then you have those that secretly don't like you, but stay around you JUST to see what you are up too and what they could possibly get out of being friends with. Trying to see who you know and what you know so they can get up on your connects. Trying to reap your benefits. Even worse, looking for information for another friend that you are not friends with (mainly happens on facebook). People that smile in your face, but talking about you behind that smile. We all have encountered people like this and to be honest they will always exist. You have to love people for who they are and accept that, that is who they are, but that does NOT mean you have to keep them around. Jesus is love and therefore we must love everyone. So I love you from a distance. PERIOD. It can be heartbreaking when you find out that someone you were extremely close to happens to be that kind of person, but I promise you will get through it. Let them go, because keeping them around makes it more toxic. I will say that SOMETIMES people may not know they are that friend, so tell them how you feel and if things don't change then it's time to let go. Now. I wasn't going to touch this topic, because I know a few people are going to hit me defending themselves with the "I know you not talking about me" line. However, when its time to spill the tea, I'll spill it, willingly.
